Reviews of The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser
- Nia Skin Type Oily/Acne Prone. This is really gentle and leaves skin feeling really soft and moisturised. I personally find it takes a bit more effort to remove my stubborn makeup. The tube is small, but I believe Deciem are making a bigger version. I think this is my favourite Deciem Cleanser. @niapattenlooks
- Jess Skin Type Oily/ Combo Skin with Dehydration. What a great cleanser. I use it as a second cleanse or morning cleanse. It leaves my skin feeling really clean without stripping. I love that it doesn’t leave a film/residue. @sk.inst.story
- Tracy Skin Type Dry Sensitive. I use it as 1st cleanse, and is really effective yet gentle. It’s a little thick for my liking, making it hard to spread around my face, but it leaves my skin soft and cleansed. @my.face.space

Reviews of NIOD LVCE
- Nia. Skin Type Oily / Acne Prone
This cleanser is excellent for removing makeup, and it smells really lovely too. It leaves an oily film, working best as a first cleanse. @niapattenlooks
- Tracy Skin Type Dry/Sensitive
A very thin cleanser that takes a little getting used to. However, it effectively removes all traces of everything, leaving a bit of a film, but that is intentional. No traces of film are felt once the 2nd cleanse is done. @my.face.space
- Rachael Candice – Dehydrated/Normal Skin @rachiecandice A gentle and effective first cleanse removes all traces of makeup (including the eye) and SPF. Doesn’t strip the skin and speeds up the cleansing process.

- Hi I’m Jess Skin Type Oily/ Combo Skin with Dehydration @sk.inst.story
This works fantastic as a deep second cleanse, and I also use it as a mask every now and then.
- Nia Skin Type Oily/Acne Prone @niapattenlooks
This has an unusual yeasty smell. For me, it’s best used as a weekly deep cleansing mask.

I use this when I need a deep cleanse, and it leaves my skin feeling really refreshed. I also use this when my skin feels a little congested.
The Ordinary Cleansers & NIOD Cleansers
How would you decide between The Ordinary Glycolipid Cleanser, Squalane Cleanser and Glucoside Foaming Cleanser?
The Ordinary says that this would depend on your preference. Glycolipid Cream Cleanser offers a cream texture in comparison to Glucoside Foaming Cleanser, which provides a light, foaming cleanse and Squalane Cleanser, which offers a balm-like texture. If you are looking to remove makeup, you may prefer to explore Glycolipid Cream Cleanser or Squalane Cleanser.
My personal opinions on all The Ordinary Cleansers & NIOD Cleansers
The Squalane Cleanser takes time to change from a balm to an oily texture. Once the texture has changed, it is lovely, but if, like me, you are very impatient, this may not be the best option.
The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming Cleanser. I absolutely love this. I feel it works instantly and leaves my skin not only feeling but looking lovely, clean and fresh. Some people find it can leave their skin feeling a little dry.
The Ordinary Glycolipid Cream Cleanser. Also a very nice cleanser. Works quickly and leaves the skin feeling lovely. I just feel the Glucoside Foaming Cleanser removes my makeup better and quicker.
NIOD LVCE Low Viscosity Cleaning Ester. I really like this cleanser. You can use it with or without water. It does leave a film on the skin which is intended, and it can be messy, particularly if you have lots of makeup on. You may want to use a cloth to help remove makeup once you have massaged LVCE into the skin. It is pricey, but the bottle is 240ml, and it will last a long time.
NIOD SS Sanskrit Saponins. This would be a second cleanse if you were going to use it, as it should not be used on your eyes. I like it, but I don´t love it compared to the way I love the Glucoside Foaming Cleanser. You can use this as a 5-minute masque too, and this leaves your skin feeling really clean. It smells quite yeasty, and some people do not like this.
