Unboxing Hyaluronic Acid 2% by The Ordinary

See the unboxing of The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid, colour, and viscosity. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Reviews & more.

The new formula says “ceramides” on the box and bottle.

What is The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid & what does it do?

This is a fabulous product to start with, especially if you are a beginner in skincare. You can use this in any routine as it has no conflicts. Hydration support for all skin types.

The Ordinary says: Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 contains 3 forms of Hyaluronic Acid, combining low- medium, high-molecular weights in addition to an HA crosspolymer to offer multi-depth hydration and promote the look of plump skin. A net concentration of 2% HA is an extremely high concentration which may increase the absorption time of this formula.

This formula also incorporates Vitamin B5 to enhance surface hydration and support healthy-looking skin.

How & when do I use The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid?

  • This is a water-based product and would be used directly after cleansing
  • Use this morning and evening if you wish
  • Apply a few drops into the palm of your hands and apply to your face by massaging or patting it onto your skin.
  • Some people apply it to dry skin, and some to damp skin.
  • Make sure it is absorbed before applying the next layer.
  • Always patch-test products before using them.

How do I layer The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid?

These are just some examples of layering Hyaluronic Acid

  • Cleanse – Hyaluronic Acid – Vitamin C – Moisturizer
  • Cleanse – Hyaluronic Acid – Niacinamide – Multi Peptide Eye Serum – NMF
  • Cleanser – Hyaluronic Acid – Antioxidant – Oil – Moisturizer

Are there any products that conflict

There are no conflicts with Hyaluronic Acid, making it a fabulous product to have in your routine.

What is the Size & PAO of The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid?

The original Hyaluronic Acid came in 3 sizes 30ml, 60ml & 120ml. Since the new formula has arrived, it is just in 2 sizes, 30ml and 60ml. Once opened, this should be used within 12 months.

What is the colour, texture and smell of The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid?

The new formula of Hyaluronic Acid isn´t as clear as the original formula. It is more lightweight than the original formula, non-sticky and much smoother and hydrating.

Why is my Hyaluronic Acid Pilling/Balling/Flaking

If you use The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid and feel like you have ´bits´ when you apply the next product, this is called ´pilling´. You can read more about it here, but try using less product. Try applying to dry or damp skin and see if you find one better than the other, and also make sure each product is fully absorbed before applying the next.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid is the ultimate product!. You have no idea how much you have saved my skin. I was suffering from acne and trying every new product that would come out, and I could rave all day about this.

The Hyaluronic Acid feels tacky and pills.

I use Hyaluronic Acid every morning and evening after applying Buffet and before Rose Hip Seed Oil. Then I apply serum foundation, which is amazing. I have combination skin & in my 50’s I like a dewy, healthy glowing complexion.

Love, love, love!!! I use this morning and night after cleansing, but before I apply vitamin C or retinol. I also use it on my neck and the back of my hands. I’m in my 50s and have normal skin.

Best Hyaluronic Acid serum I have ever used, and believe me, I used many!

Love it! It’s really only two drops needed, and hydrates the skin so much! A must-have in my routine!

Love it! I’m oily and acne-prone but still need hydration, so this is always in my drawer!”

The best Hyaluronic acid I’ve tried

Love it! Great mixing it with the L-Ascorbic Powder too.

I love this so so much. Used under my moisturizer, it kept me glowing through my pregnancy and saves my skin when I´ve had a rough night. Soaks in straight away. Wouldn’t be without it now!
