What is The Ordinary EUK 134 & what does it do?

Everything you need to know about The Ordinary EUK 134 0.1%.

This is Deciem´s simplified explanation:

EUK-134™ is a biomimetic of two enzymes that are naturally occurring in the skin: superoxide dismutase and catalase. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣The exciting thing about EUK-134™ is its ability to regenerate itself (a quality unique to EUK-134™), which means that it only needs to be applied once daily to offer long-lasting antioxidant support. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣EUK-134™ has been shown to reduce the appearance of visible redness and photoaging.⁣

Jen @jamjarjen.skin.geek. I love adding EUK 134 to Natural Moisturising Factors for an antioxidant boost.

Nia @ niapattenlooks Both EUK & Resveratrol are excellent and affordable antioxidants. They have the same oil-like texture, and both give a slight warmth. Really great for adding to the morning moisturizer for an antioxidant boost

LY says:   EUK is the first product that showed me a good result! It improves my texture so much. Love it.

NI says:  I have always had very “rosy” red cheeks, go red really easily. EUK 134 has stopped all that. My complexion seems to stay a lot more even now.

JC says:  I loved this product but unfortunately can’t use it with copper peptides, so I have had to discontinue using it. I think it helped my skin become less red/ sensitive/ flushed.

CO says:  I love mine; I use it in the morning with Magnesium Ascorbyl, Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid.

GZG says:  I use EUK 134 in the mornings after serum but before cream (sometimes I put a few drops and mix it with cream). It suits perfectly my hypersensitive, easily irritated dry skin. It feels well hydrated after the application. When it comes to results, I haven’t noticed much difference, but I guess it goes for all the antioxidants. It’s more about prevention, I guess. An overall very nice product to use.

SD says:  Love it. I use EUK 134 on my non-vitamin C days. It’s niacinamide, buffet, and a dab of this. I like how spreadable it is. I only need 2-3 small drops for my face and neck, it seems to sink in fairly quick, and my moisturizer and SPF apply well over it. It’s done wonders for the flushing I used to get on my neck and occasionally on my cheeks.

DC says:  I love love love EUK. It’s been one of my favourite TO products since its debut. It’s very soothing for my sensitive skin, and just the anti-oxidant qualities alone are enough for me to continue using it. I use it in the PM after 7 skins and Hylamide Sub Q skin (before oils and moisturizer).

FAQS about EUK 134 which have been asked and answered on social media by The Ordinary

  • Is it suitable for oily or acne skin? Yes, it’s suitable for all skin types.
  • EUK 134 – is it suitable for sensitive skin? EUK is suitable for all skin types, but we would suggest applying test patches and gradually incorporating this product into your regimen to be sure
  • Is EUK best used in the am or pm? You can use in the AM and PM if you wish.
  • Can EUK be used in the morning with arbutin and niacinamide? Yes it can.
  • I find EUK 134 hard to incorporate into my routine. It feels like an oil “film” over my skin. EUK 134 0.1% can be mixed into your moisturizer for a strong antioxidant boost and easier application. We like to mix it with Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA.
  • Would you recommend mixing The Ordinary EUK with The Ordinary B Oil? Yes, sounds great.
  • I use The Ordinary Buffet + Copper, Retinol, EUK 134 and Pycnogenol 5%. Is this too much? We would not recommend combining strong antioxidants such as The Ordinary Pycnogenol 5% with copper peptides due to the susceptibility of the antioxidant reacting with the copper ions. Our recommendation is aimed at new users of the product. However, if you have previously used Pycnogenol 5% with copper peptides and have not experienced any discolouration or negative side effects, and you are happy with the results, you may continue to combine the products as so.
  • Would it be a good idea to mix The Ordinary EUK 134 with Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F? Yes, you may wish to do that.
  • What is the best time to use The Ordinary EUK? Night or Morning? It can be used in the AM and PM.

  • My current morning regimen is The Ordinary Niacinamide, EUK and The Ordinary Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate. Is this OK? Yes, this order sounds great.
