More Faqs
What is The Ordinary PHA 5% Exfoliating Lip Serum?
It’s a gentle, science-based lip serum that exfoliates, hydrates, and smooths lips without the need for harsh scrubbing.
How is this different from a lip scrub?
Unlike scrubs that use rough particles, this serum uses gentle acids (PHA & AHA) to dissolve dead skin. That means no friction, no irritation—just smoother lips over time.
What does “PHA 5%” mean?
It refers to the concentration of Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA), specifically Gluconolactone, which is known for being extra gentle while still exfoliating and hydrating.
Is it safe for sensitive lips?
Yes. PHA molecules are larger than other acids, making them gentler and less likely to irritate delicate lip skin.
Will it make my lips peel or sting?
Most people experience only mild tingling (if any). It won’t cause harsh peeling—just gradual smoothing and hydration.
Can I still use lip balm or lipstick after applying it?
Yes. Once it dries, you can apply a lip balm, mask, or even lipstick on top if you like.
What results can I expect?
Over time, lips should look smoother, softer, and more hydrated. It can also help reduce flakiness and dryness.
