When and how do I use Borage Seed Oil?
Borage Seed Oil can be used in the morning & evening. You can use it alone, or if you are using numerous products, this would be applied after any water-based products and before a heavy moisturiser.
Borage Seed Oil Colour, Texture, Smell
I would say this is a medium oil. It’s probably most like the Squalane Oil. The colour is clear, pretty clear. There may be a slight tint to it. The smell, I was expecting something powerful due to some of the reviews below, but it’s really not that strong for me. Argan Oil is strong for me. Borage Oil does have a smell but once applied to my face, it doesn´t linger.
The Ordinary Borage Seed Oil PAO
The period after opening Borage Seed Oil is 6 months. Always make sure you screw the lid on tightly. I find it good to wipe the neck of the bottle to stop it from getting clogged up.
How long does a 30ml bottle of Borage Seed Oil last?
If you use 3 drops once a day, you are probably looking at 3-4 months. It´s a great value product.

Love The Ordinary Borage Seed Oil!
I love Borage Seed Oil and use it most nights (alternate with Rosehip or retinoid 5%) & it helps clear my skin & reduce redness for the next day.
I really hate the smell of Borage Seed Oil. It’s lightweight and great for redness, and I mix it with Natural Moisturising Factors in the morning.
Really love Borage Seed Oil and find that it´s great for soothing inflammation, and it’s so cheap.
Borange Seed Oil is amazing for dry skin and perfect during the summer. The results are visible from the very first moment.

What does Borage Seed Oil do? Hydrates, nourishes skin and is also great for calming skin if you have irritation.
Which of The Ordinary oils will work best under foundation? They will all work great under the foundation. We suggest massaging the oil into the skin until absorption before moving on to the foundation.
Is Borage Seed Oil good for oily skin? Yes, it is great for all skin types.
I really dislike the smell of Borage Seed Oil. It smells like cooked chicken. We’re sorry to hear this! None of our skincare products contains artificial or added fragrance, so any scent you are detecting is a natural result of the ingredients. If stored in a dark, cool, dry place, the product integrity should not be compromised until the PAO date is given on the labels. More Faqs about Borage Oil
Can I use Borage Oil with Buffet + Copper Peptides? Yes, you can.
Would Borage Seed Oil work for oily combination skin? I’ve tried some oils before and some are too heavy for my skin type. This product is suitable for all skin types. If you prefer a lighter oil, you may wish to explore The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil or 100% Plant-Derived Squalane instead.
I really want to love The Ordinary Borage Oil because it´s so moisturizing, but I cannot get past the smell. So sorry to hear that. Any scent detected is the natural scent of the oil – you might want to try diluting it into a gentle cream to reap the benefits while diluting some of the scents. We also always offer a 365-day return policy.
